A shower manifold is most commonly thought of as the shower handles. The manifold is actually located directly behind the handles, and is what connects a pipe or chamber to several different openings.
So, what is the shower manifold's job? Simply put, its job is to connect the hot and cold or combined hot/cold water handles. They also mix the water for shower or tub use.
This is the before of a shower manifold we did for a customer.
Behind the scenes, this is what their old shower handles look like when removed.
We accessed the manifold by cutting open the shower wall.
Now, for the replacement. This is an Aloha Plumbing manifold install. We turned the three shower handle manifold into one combined hot and cold handle!
